U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand has announced new bipartisan legislation for 9/11 victims, survivors and their families.
The Transparency for the Families of 9/11 Victims and Survivors Act of 2015 would require President Obama to declassify and make publicly available the redacted 28 pages from the Joint Inquiry into Intelligence Community Activities Before and After the Terrorist Attacks of September 2001. The legislation was introduced tuesday by Republican U.S. Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, along with several co-sponsors including Gillibrand, who says Americans deserve transparency.
"It is our right to know what investigators found and I fully support its release."
