The Four Tops At The Mahaiwe On 8/3

One of Motown’s most consistent hit-makers Rock and Roll Hall of Famers The Four Tops hit songs include “Baby I Need Your Loving,” “I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch),” “Reach Out (I’ll Be There),” and “Ain’t No Woman (Like the One I’ve Got).”

Founded by lead singer Levi Stubbs and groupmates Duke Fakir, Obie Benson and Lawrence Payton - the Four Tops remained together for over four decades, having gone from 1953 until 1997 without a change in the line-up. The group was the main male vocal group for the highly successful songwriting and production team of Holland–Dozier–Holland, who crafted a stream of hit singles on Motown.

Time and illness have taken their toll on the group - but Duke Fakir continues to perform with current members Ronnie McNeir, Roquel Payton, and Spike Bonhart. Duke Fakir joins us now.

The Four Tops, will be at The Mahaiwe in Great Barrington, MA on Sunday, August 3rd at 7pm.
