Former Prattsville Supervisor Charged With Fraud

The former supervisor of Prattsville, New York has been charged with fraud relating to grants the Greene County town received in the wake of Hurricane Irene.

The U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of New York says Kory O’Hara, 42, submitted false invoices to obtain grants from numerous agencies and programs following the 2011 storm.

Authorities also allege town resident Stephen Baker, 68, was involved in the scheme with O’Hara, providing false construction invoices from his business, Moore’s Homes.

O’Hara and Moore have been released pending a trial in U.S. District Court.
