Food Friday: Albany Distilling And DeFazio's

Pizza and whiskey, a match made in heaven. Wait... what???  Here to talk about just that on Food Friday are John Curtin of Albany Distilling and Matt DeFazio of DeFazio's Pizzeria. Who knows, Matt's dad Rocco DeFazio may even join the fun. What could go wrong?  Ray Graf hosts.

Matthew DeFazio has been working at DeFazio's since he was 12 years old. A 2009 Business Management graduate of  Siena College,  he has taken DeFazio's from a hidden gem to one of the most well known pizzerias in the Capital Region. Since 2010, DeFazio's has set up a portable wood fired pizza oven at the Empire State Plaza,  local breweries, the Troy Waterfront Farmers Market and other locations.  Now, word on the street is that DeFazio's is moving into a permanent second home right next to Albany Distilling. 

John Curtin is co-owener of the Albany Distilling Company.  Now celebrating it's 10th birthday,  Albany Distilling is a small craft distillery located in Albany,’s historic downtown. Using both modern and traditional methods, they produce spirits of exceptional quality one small batch at a time.
