Former Arizona Senator Jeff Flake will deliver the Massachusetts College Of Liberal Arts’ Spring Public Policy Lecture.

The lecture’s theme will be “Election 2020 and the State of U.S. Politics.” Flake spent six terms in the U.S. House of Representatives until 2013, and then served as a U.S. Senator for a single six-year term. The Republican, a frequent target of President Trump, is now a CBS News contributor.

Jackie Kelly works for MCLA.

“The committee that we work with decided that bringing in someone that could speak to the upcoming election would be a very hot topic for this year," she told WAMC. "And we are a liberal arts institution, so we like to give our students a chance to hear from different speakers and have a well-rounded view of everything that is going on.”

The lecture is April 23rd.

Josh Landes has been WAMC's Berkshire Bureau Chief since February 2018, following stints at WBGO Newark and WFMU East Orange. His free time is spent with his cat Harry, experimental electronic music, and exploring the woods.
