Officials with a Brattleboro psychiatric hospital say they have been found to be in full compliance with a federal agency's conditions, which were instituted in October 2014 after the hospital failed a survey.
Representatives from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services finished surveying the hospital last week.

The agency says they found nothing that might have stripped the private psychiatric hospital of its certification. A report is expected in the next two weeks.

Brattleboro Retreat officials tell The Brattleboro Reformer that surveyors looked at areas such as patient rights, hospital leadership, staff, and quality assessment and performance improvement systems.

The hospital opened as part of efforts to replace the Vermont State Hospital. It has struggled to stay in compliance with federal safety regulations.
