ESYO's Music Without Borders: Celebration And Concert At The Palace

CHIME

On May 21 at the Palace Theatre in Albany, New York, The Empire State Youth Orchestra will come together to celebrate Music Without Borders as ESYO’s CHIME kids take to the stage for their first-ever public concert alongside our Empire State Wind Orchestra, and signature Empire State Youth Orchestra.

Music can transcend the boundaries between communities. With the launch of CHIME last year, at no time in our history has ESYO made the benefits of music more readily available to children from all walks of life. CHIME provides free, daily, and intensive music instruction to 40 Capital Region children living in some the region’s most economically disadvantaged areas, giving kids access to a transformative music education experience they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.

The evening will begin with a Celebration of Youth at 5:30 p.m. and will be followed by a concert beginning at 7:30 p.m. Here to tell us more are Empire State Youth Orchestra Music Director and Conductor, Helen Cha-Pyo; and ESYO’s CHIMEProgram Director and Conductor John Connolly.

Joe talks to people on the radio for a living. In addition to countless impressive human "gets" - he has talked to a lot of Muppets. Joe grew up in Philadelphia, has been on the area airwaves for more than 25 years and currently lives in Washington County, NY with his wife, Kelly, and their dog, Brady. And yes, he reads every single book.
