ESYO 360

ESYO

ESYO360 is a celebration at Proctors in Schenectady on May 17th of the past, present, and future of Empire State Youth Orchestras (ESYO).

The concert will feature all nine of ESYO's performing groups - playing a wide variety of music - jazz, band, classical, percussion. The grand finale will have 350 musicians - current ESYO musicians and ESYO alumni - all on the stage performing at the same time!

Helen Cha-Pyo is the Music Director and Conductor of ESYO and she joins us now along with Hannah Dick, principal timpanist and a percussionist in ESYO’s Youth Orchestra.

Hannah is the 2015 winner of ESYO’s Lois Lyman Concerto Competition; this past Saturday she performed Rosauro’s Concerto for Marimba and Orchestra at ESYO’s Youth Orchestra concert at Troy Savings Bank Music Hall.

Joe talks to people on the radio for a living. In addition to countless impressive human "gets" - he has talked to a lot of Muppets. Joe grew up in Philadelphia, has been on the area airwaves for more than 25 years and currently lives in Washington County, NY with his wife, Kelly, and their dog, Brady. And yes, he reads every single book.
