Berkshire Health Systems is holding a series of insurance enrollment fairs for the roughly 12,000 people in western Massachusetts enrolled in Boston Medical Center’s HealthNet. The Medicaid Insurance provider ended coverage for BHS and its affiliated services May 15th.The sessions are designed to help people covered by BMC HealthNet enroll with five other Medicaid Insurance providers that offer in-network coverage through BHS, according to BHS spokesman Michael Leary.

"There are five alternative Medicaid Insurance providers in our region that accept new patients so that the patients can continue to see their existing healthcare professionals here in Berkshires,” Leary said. “They are: CeltiCare, Health New England Be Healthy, MassHealth Primary Care Clinician Program, Neighborhood Health Plan and Tufts Health Plan Network Health.”

The fairs are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 1st at Berkshire Medical Center, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. June 2nd at Fairview Hospital and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. June 2nd at BHS’ Northern Berkshire campus.
