A local chapter of a national climate change group is holding an informational session Saturday in Hudson.
The Columbia County chapter of the Citizens Climate Lobby open house will feature a keynote speech by former Mobile Oil executive and chapter member Lou Allstadt, who has been vocal about the dangers of hydrofracking.
“We are a grassroots, non-partisan group which is trying to get our Congress to enact legislation to put a price on carbon to address the climate change crisis,” said event organizer Jan Storm.
The open house runs from 3 to 5 Saturday at the Hudson Opera House. For more information contact Jan Storm at 518-392-3256 or jan.elise.storm@gmail.com.
