At 10 a.m. January 2, Andrea Harrington was sworn in as Berkshire County’s new District Attorney at the Berkshire Museum in Pittsfield. It marks the end of Paul Caccaviello’s nine and a half months in office. Appointed in mid-March after the resignation of David Capeless, Caccaviello suffered a pair of electoral losses to Harrington in September’s Democratic primary and November’s general election. At the end of nearly three decades in the DA’s office, Caccaviello spoke with WAMC.

Josh Landes has been WAMC's Berkshire Bureau Chief since February 2018, following stints at WBGO Newark and WFMU East Orange. A passionate advocate for Western Massachusetts, Landes was raised in Pittsfield and attended Hampshire College in Amherst, receiving his bachelor's in Ethnomusicology and Radio Production. His free time is spent with his cat Harry, experimental electronic music, and exploring the woods.
