A Brattleboro company has started a $17 million expansion that will bring 100 new jobs in the next few years.
GS Precision Inc. manufacturers machined components and sub-assemblies for the aircraft, aerospace, medical, fiber-optic and automotive industries.

The company had been contemplating moving operations to New Hampshire.

CEO Norm Schneeberger said the expansion will allow the company to increase its capacity to meet the growing demands of the markets it serves.

Senator Patrick Leahy's office says millions of dollars in federal tax credits and grants will be paired with state incentives to help the company build a 25,000-square-foot expansion and buy new equipment.

Leahy, Governor Peter Shumlin and local and company officials attended the ground breaking on Monday.
