Vice President Joe Biden is set to visit the New York Capital and join Governor Andrew Cuomo for a discussion of the state's rebuilding efforts following Superstorm Sandy.

The hurricane hit New York in late October 2012, flooding several parts of New York City and Long Island and destroying many homes and businesses.

The state has received federal disaster funds for relief and rebuilding, with an estimated $5.1 billion in the current fiscal year's budget

Cuomo has promised to build stronger, more storm-resistant infrastructure, saying once infrequent storms have been happening more often.
