Albany, NY – INDIVISIBLE BY 2: LIVES OF EXTRAORDINARY TWINS -
If you think you're seeing double, you may be. There are nearly
double as many twins today as there used to be. It's forcing schools
to think twice about how to educate the pairs. Questions like, should
twins be taught in the same classroom? Or separated, so that they
might develop more independence? To learn more about the current
research on how to educate twins, we spoke with Dr. Nancy Segal, a
Professor of Psychology at the University of California at Fullerton.
Dr. Segal also directs the Twins Studies Center at Fullerton which she
founded in 1991. Besides this latest book she's authored, Segal is a
twin herself. And she's interviewed by our TBOOK reporter, who
himself is the father of identical twins.

We all breath air to survive. And from time to time, we probably
wonder about all the little tiny things in the air we can't see, that
we're breathing in. A community of university professors is
collaborating on this project. They're measuring aerosols in the
atmosphere to find out what part aerosols may have played in
our origins. As it turns out, aerosols also play an extremely
important role in controlling the earth's temperature and climate.
Today's guest is Dr. Veronica Vaida, Chair of the Department of
Chemistry and Biochemistry, and Professor of Chemistry at the
University of Colorado at Boulder. Next week, Dr. Vaida details
her research, how it could help the origins of life question, and
what the future holds.
