Berkshire Health Walk-in Clinic In Williamstown Will Close

wikipedia.org

Berkshire Health Systems plans to close its walk-in clinic in Williamstown, Massachusetts this week.

The BHS Walk-in at the Williamstown Medical Associates building on Adams Road will close at the end of business hours September 1st.

BHS spokesperson Michael Leary says the walk-in clinic lacks the patient volume needed to keep its doors open. It opened in February 2016 and averages five patients a day.

The closest urgent care facility is BMC’s complex at the site of the former North Adams Regional Hospital, which closed three years ago. Some residents are still calling for the return of a full-service hospital there.

The two closest full-service hospitals are BMC in Pittsfield and Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington.
