Berkshire County’s largest healthcare provider is now providing coronavirus antibody testing to anyone in the community with a lab order from a physician. Berkshire Health Systems Director of Media Relations Michael Leary says while the tests can indicate whether someone has had COVID-19, they cannot confirm an immunity to the vicious strain of coronavirus behind the global pandemic. Leary spoke Friday with WAMC.

Josh Landes has been WAMC's Berkshire Bureau Chief since February 2018, following stints at WBGO Newark and WFMU East Orange. A passionate advocate for Western Massachusetts, Landes was raised in Pittsfield and attended Hampshire College in Amherst, receiving his bachelor's in Ethnomusicology and Radio Production. His free time is spent with his cat Harry, experimental electronic music, and exploring the woods.
