http://www.artomi.org/architecture/projects_CubanArt.php

Omi International Arts Center is an organization with residency programs for international visual artists, writers, musicians, and dancers. Architecture Omi, under the direction of Peter Franck, has the mission of facilitating projects that look at the intersection of architecture, art and landscape.

One of their projects currently underway is Skyline Adrift: Cuban Art and Architecture. The project had an opening reception at Art Omi yesterday. Skyline Adrift will be on view May, 2013 at Omi International Arts Center in Ghent, New York.

We are joined by Rachel Weingeist, the Senior Advisor at the Shelley & Donald Rubin Foundation and the Rubin’s Private Art Collection and an advisor and board member at The Fields Sculpture Park and Architecture Omi and Yoandy Rizo Fiallo – Architect.

A lifelong resident of the Capital Region, Ian joined WAMC in late 2008 and became news director in 2013.
