WAMC's Ian Pickus and resident quizzer Mike Nothnagel take a turn at trivia's most famous lectern.

Last week's challenge

Answer: BLACKFISH, BLACK-ISH

THIS WEEK'S CATEGORY: JEOPARDY! GUEST HOSTS
On-air questions
: OK, Ian: in January of this year, former Jeopardy! champion Ken Jennings took his place behind another podium when he became the first person to guest host the long-running game show. The list of people scheduled to stand where the irreplaceable Alex Trebek stood for over 30 years is slated to continue for at least the next couple of months. Something slated to only continue for the next few minutes is this week’s set of questions, which are about some of those Jeopardy! guest hosts.

1. According to a 2004 article, Ken Jennings says he was contacted by which tax advisory company which offered him free financial services for life “so that I never forget their name again”, a reference to the Final Jeopardy! question that Jennings missed to end his 74-game winning streak?
2. On a January 2021 television appearance, Katie Couric revealed that she is a distant relative of what U.S. president, who was the ninth person to serve in the office, the first member of the Whig Party to be elected to the U.S. presidency, and the one who served for the shortest amount of time?
3. In April of 2018, Aaron Rodgers became the first active NFL player to have an ownership stake in an NBA franchise when it was announced he would become a limited partner in the ownership group of what team?
4. "You know who's apparently very smart is the girl who played TV's Blossom. She got a Ph.D. in neuroscience or something." This dialogue is part of a conversation about recruiting the real-life Mayim Bialik to the characters’ Physics Bowl team in a first-season episode of what series that Bialik would join the cast of some years later?
5. In 2011, Anderson Cooper played the voice of the book in a revival of what Broadway musical that starred Daniel Radcliffe as J. Pierrepont Finch, Rose Hemingway as Rosemary Pilkington, and John Larroquette as J.B. Biggley?

Extra credit
1. In 2004, Savannah Guthrie became a national trial correspondent for CourtTV. In January of 2006, she covered the Senate Judiciary Committee’s hearings for the confirmation of which U.S. Supreme Court justice?
2. Dr. Sanjay Gupta, the chief medical correspondent for CNN, is associate chief of neurosurgery at Grady Memorial Hospital and associate professor of neurosurgery at the Emory University School of Medicine, both located in what city?

This week's challenge
Start with the name ANDERSON COOPER. Change one letter to a W and you can rearrange the result to spell a five letter-word for a type of performance and a two-word phrase (six letters, three letters) that names a place that is a good spot from which to watch that performance. What is the word and what is the phrase?
