Albany Airport Selects New CEO

Jesse King

The Albany County Airport Authority has selected Philip Calderone as its next CEO, overseeing operations at Albany International Airport. He will take over for John O’Donnell, who is retiring after more than 20 years with the aiport.

Calderone currently serves as the Deputy Albany County Executive and Counsel, having spent 17 years as the deputy mayor of the city of Albany. The Albany native graduated from Siena College and Albany Law School. The airport says he will begin as CEO before the end of November at an annual salary of $185,000. The Albany airport is renovating its terminal and building a new 1,000 car parking garage. Part of a new airport exit off the Adirondack Northway opened earlier this month.
