3 Killed, 8 Injured In Westchester Crash

Officials say three people have died after a crash on the Taconic State Parkway in Westchester County.

New York State Police say it happened shortly after 3 p.m. Saturday in Yorktown, a crash involving four cars along the south side of the parkway, north of Baldwin Road.

Officials tells New York City radio station 1010 WINS a preliminary investigation revealed that a BMW sport utility vehicle was traveling northbound when it exited the roadway into the center median, struck an earth embankment, and became airborne into the southbound lanes.

The BMW struck two southbound vehicles - a third southbound vehicle was also involved in the collision.

Victims names have not yet been released.

State Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact SP Hawthorne Bureau of Criminal Investigation by calling (914) 742-6400.
