Massachusetts voters who have not already requested to vote-by-mail for the November election should keep an eye on their mailbox.

Vote-by-mail applications are being sent to all registered voters who had not previously asked for a general election ballot.

A record number of Massachusetts voters cast ballots for the September 1st primary –a turnout election officials said was fueled at least in part by the new vote-by-mail law.

WAMC’s Pioneer Valley Bureau Chief Paul Tuthill spoke with Gladys Oyola-Lopez, the city of Springfield’s Election Commissioner.

The record-setting tenure of Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno. The 2011 tornado and its recovery that remade the largest city in Western Massachusetts. The fallout from the deadly COVID outbreak at the Holyoke Soldiers Home. Those are just a few of the thousands and thousands of stories WAMC’s Pioneer Valley Bureau Chief Paul Tuthill has covered for WAMC in his nearly 17 years with the station.
