The New York Inspector General spent much of Monday meeting with the only corrections officer charged in the aftermath of the escape from the Clinton Correctional facility in June.
Catherine Leahy Scott  is investigating the events that led to the escape of Richard Matt and David Sweat from the maximum security prison in Dannemora.

The Plattsburgh Press Republican reports that she met with suspended guard Gene Palmer in Plattsburgh on Monday.

Palmer is charged with tampering with evidence, promoting prison contraband, and official misconduct.

The newspaper reports that Palmer and his attorney met with the inspector general at the District Attorney’s office.

There is no indication when Leahy-Scott will issue her report on the escape.
