Poll: 74 percent of Americans would support raising age to purchase firearms to 21

A poll shows growing support for new gun control legislation.

As the nation debates what action is needed after the latest wave of mass shootings, a new poll from Quinnipiac University finds a large majority of Americans would like to raise the age to buy a firearm to 21. That’s one of the findings of the poll, which also surveyed attitudes about President Biden, Congress, and the economy.

For analysis, we spoke with the poll's Tim Malloy.
