WAMC's Dr. Alan Chartock discusses a report that the accounting firm that prepared former President Donald Trump’s annual financial statements says the documents, used to secure lucrative loans and burnish Trump’s image as a wealthy businessman, “should no longer be relied upon." He also weighs in on the ongoing crisis at the Russian-Ukraine border and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's most recent measures to try to end the protests by truckers and others protesting the country's COVID-19 restrictions.

Dr. Chartock also considers a judge’s decision to dismiss Sarah Palin's defamation suit against The New York Times.

Dr. Alan Chartock is professor emeritus at the University at Albany. He hosts the weekly Capitol Connection series, heard on public radio stations around New York. The program, for almost 12 years, highlighted interviews with Governor Mario Cuomo and now continues with conversations with state political leaders. Dr. Chartock also appears each week on The Media Project and The Roundtable and offers commentary on Morning Edition, weekdays at 7:40 a.m.
