Two-Day PFOA Conference Focuses On Work In Hoosick Falls And Bennington

Throughout Friday and Saturday, students, scientists, state and local officials, and area residents are exploring the ins and outs of the PFOA contamination of water supplies in Hoosick Falls, New York, and Bennington, Vermont.

The event is being held at Bennington College, where students have researched the chemical contamination over the last year.

Students at Hoosick Falls High School have also been studying the issue.

WAMC's Southern Adirondack Bureau Chief Lucas Willard spoke with Hoosick Falls Centeral School District Superintendent Kenneth Facin and Bennington College's Professor David Bond about the material being presented.
