A teenager is facing charges of vehicular assault, reckless driving, and driving while under the influence after crashing a car into an Albany County tavern Friday night, according to police.

The 18-year-old driver has been identified as Michael Carr.

A 16-year-old passenger was taken to the Westchester Burn Unit.

The vehicle driven by Carr hit two parked vehicles outside the Blessings Tavern in Colonie before crashing into the building. The building then caught fire.

Carr, as well as two inside the building, sustained non-life threatening injuries.
