Leader Nancy Pelosi kicked off her national bus tour in Seneca Falls Sunday and stopped in Albany.
"When Women Succeed, America Succeeds" that is the theme - the economic agenda intending to strengthen working families - in the words of its proponents - "to unleash the power of women across the country."
Pelosi's Albany visit was sponsored by Davies Office Refurbishing, one of the few companies in the nation that pays 100% of its employees health insurance costs.
The bus tour will underscore the challenges facing women and families and House Democrats’ economic agenda to address those challenges. Traveling from Seneca Falls, through Albany to Chicago, Illinois, Leader Pelosi and House Democrats will highlight the need for policies that work for women, including equal pay for equal work, raising the minimum wage, paid sick leave, and quality, affordable child care.
Monday morning the bus rolls on to Massachusetts, where it will stop at the Middlesex Community College City Building in Lowell.
Here are two videos from the Albany event - the first captures the moment when the bus pulled into the Davies Office parking lot. The second is of the closing moments of Speaker Pelosi's turn at the podium.
