Plattsburgh, NY – A standing room only crowd gave the Governor a standing ovation as he entered the Warren Ballroom on the Plattsburgh State campus. The crowd, including officials from Clinton, Essex and Franklin counties, heard the governor's executive plan for the state's future. Using powerpoint for visual emphasis, the Governor reviewed his vision for the state, first outlining successful initiatives from last year, and praising bipartisan efforts to achieve a balanced on-time budget.
Governor Cuomo emphasized the need for aggressive initiatives.
Essex County Board of Supervisors Chair Randy Douglas is hopeful about the Governor's mandate relief plan.
Clinton County Sheriff David Favro says the governor has some good ideas and plans for the state.
New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli issued a report this week that indicates the state's economic recovery may be stalling. Governor Cuomo says if his initiatives are put in place, the state will be in good shape.
The governor said he is bringing his plan directly to state residents because necessary change will not occur without the public's voice.
