Albany, NY – Well the Celtics remain winless...

Last night in New Orleans, Jarrett Jack poured in 21, as the Hornets dominated the Celtics 97-78. Boston is 0-3 for the first time since the 2006-07 season.

In Oakland, Monta Ellis led the Warriors with 22, as Golden State handed the Knicks their first loss of the season, 92-78.

Elsewhere, Miami improved to 3-0 with a 96-95 win over Charlotte, Oklahoma City edged Memphis 98-95, San Antonio routed the Clippers 115-90, Philadelphia hammered Phoenix 103-83, Denver rolled over Utah 117-100, Atlanta whipped Washington 101-83, Cleveland dumped Detroit 105-89, and Indiana held off Toronto 90-85.

In college football, Texas topped California 21-10 in the Holiday Bowl, and Toledo downed Air Force 42-41 in the Military Bowl.

Among Top 25 college hoops, Georgetown upset Louisville 71-68, Syracuse stifled Seton Hall 75-49, Ohio State cruised past Northwestern 87-54, and U-Conn held off South Florida 60-57.

On the Women's side, Maryland blew out Lafayette 84-36, Notre Dame trounced Longwood 92-26, and Delaware beat East Carolina 60-40.

To the ice, last night in Washington D.C., Alexander Semin scored twice, as Washington skated past the Rangers 4-1, snapping New York's five-game winning streak.

In New Jersey, Petr Sykora scored twice, as the Devils downed Buffalo 3-1.

In Phoenix, Dennis Seidenberg's overtime goal propelled the Bruins to a 2-1 win over the Coyotes. Boston's won 11 of 13.

Elsewhere, Vancouver dropped San Jose 3-2, Los Angeles blanked Chicago 2-0, and Nashville doubled up Minnesota 2-1.

And in baseball news, the Red Sox have acquired closer Andrew Bailey and outfielder Ryan Sweeney from Oakland in exchange for outfielder Josh Reddick and two prospects.

And ESPN reports that the Yankees have signed former Red Sox reliever Hideki Okajima to a minor league deal.
