Albany, NY – New York Governor David Paterson has given up on a budget deal with legislative leaders for now, and released the rest of his budget as part of his weekly emergency extender legislation. He says he's giving lawmakers a limited period to agree on a new plan. If there's no agreement, they'll have the choice of accepting Paterson's budget, or shutting down state government on Monday.
