Crown Point, NY – As soon as the Champlain Bridge was destroyed on Monday, barges moved in to begin removing debris. The state is required to remove the remnants of the bridge from the lake by April 15 in order to maintain a navigable channel. But some are concerned that the environmental repercussions of having tons of rusting steel in the water has not been fully deliberated. WAMC North Country Bureau Chief Pat Bradley has more.
