Albany, NY – Racing officials have taken steps to prevent equine abuse in New York State. Capital District Bureau Chief Dave Lucas reports.

The New York Breeding and Development fund recently met at Saratoga State Park, in the aftermath of animal cruelty that took place at Center Brook Farm in Greene County. The board is studying the fund's farm inspection program and will now freeze funds of anyone charged with neglect or abuse of horses.
