Albany, NY – The "Walkway Over the Hudson", a project to transform an abandoned bridge into a linear park and trailway in Poughkeepsie, is nearing its final phase of construction. When completed, it will provide access to the Hudson River's scenic landscape and connect communities on both sides of the river.
Now there's a new effort under way to name the walkway after one of the Hudson River's biggest champions, Pete Seeger. WAMC's Alan Chartock recently spoke about the project with Congressman Maurice Hinchey.
