Port Jervis, NY – As gas prices rise by nickels and dimes almost daily in recent days, one area of the Hudson Valley appears to be facing its own crisis of sorts in terms of competition. At the western end of Orange County, the City of Port Jervis abuts northern New Jersey and northeastern Pennsylvania, both of which traditionally have lower gas prices than New York. Typically, New Jersey is the lowest of the three counties in what is called the Tri-State area.
