Albany, NY – New York Governor George Pataki has nominated Appellate Court Judge Eugene Pigott Jr. of Erie County in Western New York to fill an upcoming vacancy on the state's highest court. If confirmed by the State Senate, Pigott will replace Associate Judge George Bundy Smith. WAMC's Capital District Bureau Chief Jessica Bloustein reports:
