Plattsburgh, NY – The U-S Senate has voted to delay a passport requirement at the Canadian border for 17 months. The measure was adopted as an amendment to a broader immigration bill. Supporters of the delay are cautiously hopeful that it will be implemented, especially since the House version of the Immigration Bill does not include the amendment, and a fight whether to include it is expected when it reaches a conference committee.
