Pollution Trading Costs May Lead to Lower Emissions

Plattsburgh, NY – The Adirondack Council is hopeful that a spike in the price of pollution trading allowances will lead to Midwest power plants installing scrubbers, which are emissions reduction equipment. The Council says the price of pollution credits vs installing scrubbers has gotten to a point where it's more expedient to invest in the equipment. More from North Country Bureau Chief Pat Bradley.
