The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts has announced plans for a $22 million distribution center and headquarters at a business park in Chicopee.
At 64,000 square feet, the new building will have twice the space as the Food Bank’s warehouse in Hatfield.
Construction is scheduled to be finished by the summer of 2023.
WAMC’s Pioneer Valley Bureau Chief Paul Tuthill spoke about the project with Andrew Morehouse, Executive Director of the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts.
