Berkshire County’s sole daily newspaper – The Berkshire Eagle – will reduce its print schedule from seven days to five days a week beginning early next month. The paper announced the change in its own pages, citing changing trends in the news industry for producers and consumers. WAMC spoke with Executive Editor Kevin Moran about the move, and the paper’s corresponding plans to increase digital operations.

Josh Landes has been WAMC's Berkshire Bureau Chief since February 2018, following stints at WBGO Newark and WFMU East Orange. A passionate advocate for Western Massachusetts, Landes was raised in Pittsfield and attended Hampshire College in Amherst, receiving his bachelor's in Ethnomusicology and Radio Production. His free time is spent with his cat Harry, experimental electronic music, and exploring the woods.
