The 4th Annual Berkshire Pride LGBTQ+ Festival has been postponed due to the pandemic.
The festival, originally scheduled for June 20th, is being delayed due to limits on congregating during the COVID-19 pandemic. , the chair of Berkshire Pride 2020, says the new date for the celebration is October 10th, the day before National Coming Out Day.
“October is LGBTQ history month, and so our hope is that – still tying it in to the LGBTQ community through October, through National Coming Out Day – and hopefully far enough in advance that we might be on the other side of this pandemic, we will be still be able to gather as a community and celebrate each other,” O’Brien told WAMC.
The 3rd Annual Berkshire Pride LGBTQ+ festival took place on The Common in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
