“Now and Later” is taking on new meaning in Pittsfield this year after trick or treating was rescheduled because of the threat of inclement weather.
Originally, Berkshire County’s largest community planned to observe Halloween on October 31st. Roberta McCulloch-Dews is the city’s Director of Administrative Services.
“Per the weather reports that are currently coming to our attention, we know that we are expecting severe weather during the evening hours of Thursday, October 31st, and we know that with this weather there will be a need to clean up our neighborhoods from possible damage due to high winds and any flooding that may occur, so we are leaving Friday available for that,” she told WAMC.
Trick or treating will now be held Saturday, November 2nd, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
