Berkshire Athenaeum To Hold Third Annual Spooktacular Saturday

This weekend, the Berkshire Athenaeum will hold its third annual Pumpkin Carving Spooktacular.

Outreach Librarian Samuel Reggio says that the Berkshire Seed Library program is putting on the event.

“And it’s where we buy a whole bunch of pumpkins from lovely Taft Farms down in Great Barrington and we kind of provide access to a fun, family event in the basement, in the auditorium of our library,” said Reggio.

The festive party runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. WAMC has been assured that it will be only marginally spooky.

Josh Landes has been WAMC's Berkshire Bureau Chief since February 2018, following stints at WBGO Newark and WFMU East Orange. A passionate advocate for Western Massachusetts, Landes was raised in Pittsfield and attended Hampshire College in Amherst, receiving his bachelor's in Ethnomusicology and Radio Production. His free time is spent with his cat Harry, experimental electronic music, and exploring the woods.
