Berkshire Affordable Housing Nonprofit Holding Fuel Assistance Benefit

For 50 years, Construct Incorporated has worked to provide residents of southern Berkshire County with both affordable housing and the tools and resources it takes to get it. Tonight, the nonprofit is holding a benefit concert called “Warming Up The Winter” at the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. Executive Director Jane Ralph tells WAMC that proceeds from the show will shore up Construct’s work to provide fuel assistance to the needy.

Josh Landes has been WAMC's Berkshire Bureau Chief since February 2018, following stints at WBGO Newark and WFMU East Orange. A passionate advocate for Western Massachusetts, Landes was raised in Pittsfield and attended Hampshire College in Amherst, receiving his bachelor's in Ethnomusicology and Radio Production. His free time is spent with his cat Harry, experimental electronic music, and exploring the woods.
