Southern Berkshire Committee Voices Frustration About Charter Cable Deal

Charter Communications

The Five Town Cable Advisory Committee in southern Berkshire County has voiced frustrations about working with Charter Communications’ cable television services.

The Five Town Cable Advisory Committee told Charter Communications at its quarterly meeting last week that the cable television provider needs to better notify customers in Lee, Lenox, Stockbridge, Great Barrington and Sheffield about service changes.

The committee also says a potential $6.99 monthly converter box fee may violate Charter’s contract with the communities.

Charter, which assumed a 10-year license agreement after it bought out Time Warner Cable last year, says it will continue to work with the committee to improve its services.
