Residents in Lenox, Massachusetts are concerned about the traffic and security that would accompany a proposed medical marijuana facility.

At an informational meeting Tuesday, residents voiced their concerns to officials from Crane Healthcare about its plan for a medical marijuana dispensary.

The company wants to acquire the Niagara Mill for a growing, processing and distribution site. Residents are concerned that location will increase traffic and potential hazards for families in town.

At the annual town meeting in May, residents approved a measure to limit medical marijuana outlets to industrial or state highway commercial zones. Downtown sites are off-limits.

Crane Healthcare says about 600 Berkshire County residents are eligible for its medical services. It says it may sell marijuana for recreational use in the future.
