The two suspects in a deadly home invasion in a rural Massachusetts town are expected to be arraigned in District Court Friday.

Joshua Hart, 23, and Brittany Smith, 27, who were arrested last weekend in Virginia, have waived extradition, according to a spokeswoman for the Northwestern District Attorney’s office.

The two are accused of killing Thomas Harty, 95, and seriously injuring his wife Joanna Fisher, 77, during a home invasion in Orange last Wednesday.

The pair allegedly fled in the victim’s car.

Authorities have not said how Harty was killed.

Hart and Smith had been arrested a few days before the murder for stealing her grandmother’s car.  Both were released on bail.
