A Vermont developer who owns the property that was formerly home to the now-closed Burlington College has presented plans for redeveloping the site.
Eric Farrell appeared before Burlington's Design Advisory Board this week to pitch his idea for constructing a large-scale residential community on the 27.6-acre property.

The Burlington Free Press reports Farrell's plan calls for building approximately 675 housing units that will be split between multi-story condos and rental apartments on North Avenue. The college sold the land to Farrell in 2015 for about $7.6 million.

The developer told the board that he believes he's "found a sweet spot" with the newly named Cambrian Rise project, which has been tweaked several times within the past two years.

The board's notes will be submitted to the Development Review Board.
