Vermont Urging Residents To Prepare For Cold Temperatures

WikiMedia Commons

Vermont emergency officials are warning people to be prepared for what's expected to be the coldest weather of the season so far.
The National Weather Service says there will be below zero wind chills in areas of Vermont Friday through Sunday with some areas possibly reaching a wind chill of 30 below zero or colder Saturday night.

People are being reminded to dress in layers, have a sufficient supply of heating fuel, recognize health risks, and take other safety measures as needed.

They remind people that improper heating devices can lead to dangerous buildup of carbon monoxide, an odorless, colorless gas that can cause flu-like illness or death.
