A Pittsfield mayoral candidate is facing a December court date for allegedly threatening to shoot a city employee.Craig Gaetani is accused of calling the Pittsfield fire department in July asking to speak with someone about having junk cars removed from his property. After being told no one was currently available, Gaetani allegedly called back saying he was going to come to the office and shoot the woman.
Gaetani has consistently called them “trumped up charges” made by Mayor Dan Bianchi and the city’s police and fire chiefs.
“These same charges against me is what’s going to sink them,” said Gaetani at an August city council meeting. “Because I will definitely be sinking my teeth into them shortly.”
Bianchi, Gaetani, City Clerk Linda Tyer and Donna Walto are facing off in September 22nd’s mayoral primary.
