A Berkshire County Grand Jury has indicted a Pittsfield teenager in the November shooting death of a Goshen, Massachusetts man in a supermarket parking lot.Eighteen year-old Peter Campbell faces a mandatory life sentence with the chance for parole after 15 years for second degree murder, according to The Berkshire Eagle. Police say Campbell shot Anthony Gamache, 29 of Goshen, in the leg on Nov. 18 during a botched robbery attempt involving marijuana in Pittsfield’s Big Y parking lot.
After seeking treatment, Gamache died the next night. Massachusetts’ chief medical examiner said Gamache died from a blood clot caused by the gunshot wound.
Campbell is being held without bail. He’s scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday.
